Animals....they just know

A few days ago, I took Caroline outside for a little photo session on the bench.

I then had Christina jump in and I got some adorable sister moments (I LOVE these shots!).

After Christina was bored, Nugget (our cat) came along and we put her on the bench with Caroline. And Caroline just looked at Nugget and immediately grabbed a fistful of hair and cat skin.

And then she grabbed more hair/skin.

(Actually, I think she is trying to throw Nugget off the bench. She throws EVERYTHING she can get a hold of, and Nugget, I guess, is no exception!).

She eventually gave up on Nugget, yet you can see Ms. Nugget is still quite wary.

And what amazed me during the Nugget portion of this shoot, is that, although Nugget is NOT happy about Caroline and what she is doing, she will not scratch or bite her. Every once in a while she would give Caroline a look, and I would just say "Nugget", and she would look away.

Animals...aren't they amazing sometimes?? How do they know? If I, or Christina, or Kallie grabbed a fistful of cat hair/skin, she would probably give us a swat. But she seemed to just know that Caroline was different. So sweet.

That is so sweet. I do think animals have that instinct. Whenever we brought a new baby home the dogs new to be gentle.

It absolutely amazes me how good some animals are with kids. If I were Cody, I would have chewed Alexis to pieces by now. Instead, he keeps on loving every second of her torture.

LOVE these photos!

Aw, I absolutely love that sister shot! They are all beautiful, though.

And animals really DO just know, don't they? It's amazing to me that Alex can literally jump on top of my mother's dog and the dog will do nothing.

That is too cool, Irene! Animals really do have an inate sense. Love the new header, BTW!

So true & So sweet! Our dog definitely knows when someone is hurting or sick - he is especially gentle and wants to be right there next to that person!

Our cat was the same way. He would never, never, never, bite or scratch the girls but after getting tormented by them he would walk right up and take a swat at my husband.

Those are great pictures. I love the one with Caroline and Christina.

I am amazed at how patient Nugget was with Caroline. What a sweet and patient kitty.

Great pictures! You can almost see what Nugget is thinking!
