Amazing morning photoshoot!
Early yesterday morning, as I drove out to my 5K run I was seriously tempted to stop the car, go back for my camera (no, believe it or not, it was not with me) and spend the morning taking photos rather than joining 500 other kooks and running through town.
Why you ask? Well, it was very cold and frost was covering the ground, the sun was gloriously shining, there were pockets of fog in the valleys and over the ponds, rivers and lakes and the resulting scenery was literally breathtaking.
So, this morning, luckily, the weather was exactly the same. I woke, grabbed my coffee and camera and was off! Some of my shots were cool, some were OK, and some were pretty amazing!
I loved how the sun shone through the fog in this field:
And the sunrays!!
Everywhere I looked there were glorious sunrays!

Great photos. I love sun rays through trees too.
The sun ray photos are so cool. We are having cold morning also but no frost yet and we warm up in the afternoons. Love all of the photos.
Shots like those are always so calming and peaceful! I can imagine spending the morning taking them must be equally so.
I DON'T BLAME YOU!! I would have definitely gone out of my way to grab my camera for these shots!!!
These are amazing shots. Truly amazing.
I envy your talent and the fact that you got out of bed on a cold Sunday too get the perfect shots.
I LOVE the sun rays! Really beautiful pictures.
What kind of camera do you have? I am looking into getting a DSLR and I would love to hear what you have and what you think about it.
Just beautiful! I love mornings.
Wow! Amazing photos. You've captured the sun's rays so well!
Breathtaking!! Those are wonderful, Irene! I'd just want to sit and stare at it...
Wow. The 2nd one is truly amazing. I would buy that print in a heart beat. AMAZING.
I also love the father/daughter shots from your previous post, I don't think I commented but saw it in my reader. What a special moment. Stunning .
Great job, I love the colors in that field. Pretty amazing :)
Your photos are looking more and more like those of a professional. Girl, you are ready!
I am so jealous of you and your chance to run out the door for some great shots. and these are GREAT!
Sooooo jealous.
Going to go seethe in jealousy now. :-)
Hi Irene
Remember me? Life has been sooooo C-R-A-Z-Y lately...but a good kind of crazy, so I can't complain even though it has kept me from visiting. But...I'm home now...for a week or so anyway.
I've had fun this afternoon reading all your posts I've missed. Your photos are always amazing. You go girl!
Hugs!
Kat
SPEC-TAC-U-LAR. Terrific shots. You really have an eye for gorgeousness.
Very lucky on the repeat performance of the scene. I don't think I'll be so lucky tomorrow. Today I headed out in the car only to be greeted by the most unsual cloud formation I've ever seen - a single long 'tube' cloud cutting right across the middle of the bright blue sky. And guess what? We were late for pre-school and *&^%$# I didn't have my camera. Poop. I'm pretty sure the same cloud won't be back tomorrow.
Anyway, great catches... all the rest of this series on your Flickr account too.
Wow, your photos are amazing!
These were the pictures I saw on Flickr.. you need to market these.. they are stunning!! and congrats to you on your 5K!!!
Beautiful! I wish I had you skills!
Lovely photos, but even better where you took them. are these places near your home? Totally jealous!
oh man...I hate you in the nicest sort of way! LOL
because this NEVER happens for me. There never is a repeat performance. ugh...so many glorious things have slipped through my cameraless fingers.
You rocked these....seriously I love them in every way imaginable. STUNNING!
thanks for sharing them.
Absolutely LOVE the sun ray pics - those are gorgeous!
